Earlier this year, when sendPACT was meeting with professionals trying to set a new way of engagement, it was agreed that an external assessment about our current local situation and the best approach to a meaningful engagement within Haringey. It was decided that Amaze was going to be the exterior assessors and the budget would be paid by the parents/carers Department For Education fund (from the missing local parent/carer forum).
Amaze is a parent-led charity supporting families of children and young people with SEND. They’ve been asked by Haringey Council to find out: how involved you feel; how much influence you think you have; if you would like to be more involved in the future and what information your family needs.
All feedback will be anonymised and their findings will be used to make recommendations on how parent carers and professionals could work more closely to improve services for families. You can share your views in person at a focus group, online in their evening webinar or, if time is tight, fill in the ten-minute online survey.
Everyone who attends a focus group will get a £15 Love2Shop voucher. If you fill in the survey, you can enter a prize draw for the chance to win an iPad.
